13B Disassembled Road Race Header Kit (16212)
We offer a Disassembled Road Race Header Kit for customized exhausts or special chassis clearance requirements. Both the 12A and 13B engine kits include: an engine-to-header flange, primary tube #1 and primary tube #2, a U-bend tube section, and an dual-tube outlet flange.
Flanges are laser-cut mild steel, and the tubing is mandrel bent .120"-wall HREW steel. The addition of the U-bend tube allows for even more flexibility with your design. Gaskets are not provided but are available separately.

Fits 6 port 13B engines (Non Turbo) Racing Beat
Racing Beat's Road Racing Header for the 1984-91 RX-7 13B (6-Port) is the first step in building a serious racing exhaust system. The engine-to-pipe flange is laser cut from 1/5" thick flat steel. Like all of the headers we manufacture, the Road Racing Header is constructed with 2" OD mild steel tubing, .120" inch wall thickness, and mandrel-bent tubing throughout.
Outlet flange gaskets, bolts, and nuts are included. If needed, an engine-to-header gasket is available separately. An Air Control and Check Valve Cover Plate is required when using this header with a stock intake system. The Road Race Header can also be used as the basis for a custom streetable exhaust system in any car from 1971-92 (equipped with a 6-port engine), which allows simple swapping between street and race exhaust systems.
This header can used with the Street Port Center-Section Pipe 1979-85 12A & 13B except GSL-SE or 1984-85 GSL-SE.84-85 13B Rx7 Racing Beat Streetable Header (16013)
This RX-7 Header is designed for a bolt-on installation, when used with the appropriate Power Pulse Presilencer in all 1981-85 RX-7 with 13B conversion or the 1984-85 RX-7 GSL-SE models. The combination of this RX-7 header and the appropriate presilencer replaces the stock exhaust manifold and all catalytic converters for use in racing applications, along with any intermediate pieces of tubing. This header includes a mounting flange for the oxygen sensor.
The Racing Beat RX-7 header assembly is constructed with .120-inch wall, mandrel-bend, mild steel tubing for increased durability and sound suppression. Both flanges are laser-cut from .5-inch thick steel plate for positive gas sealing. An outlet gasket is included. An engine-to-header gasket is available separately if needed.86-88 N/A Rx7 Road Race Header (16128)
This header has the 6-port actuator pick-up tube & oxygen sensor position for use on a 1986-88 RX-7 13B.

This header is not compatible with the 1988-91 RX-7 convertible chassis equipped with the automatic transmission: the header outlet will make contact with the transmission case.

This header weighs approximately 15.5 lbs and is approximately 28" in length.
On the 1986-88 13B 6-Port engines, the auxiliary intake actuators are operated by back pressure from the exhaust system. This header features a back pressure pick-up tube that allows for the correct operation of the 6-port intake actuators. Also included on the header is an oxygen sensor position for cars that require an oxygen sensor for correct operation.
Outlet flange gaskets, bolts, nuts, AC & CV cover plate, and installation instructions are included. An Engine-to-Header Gasket is not included, but is available separately if needed.89-91 Rx7 Racing Beat Road Race Header (16129)

Our rotary exhaust Header/Collector is designed for a bolt-on installation, when used with the appropriate Power Pulse Presilencer, in all 1986-91 non-turbo RX-7s. The combination of this Header/Collector and the appropriate presilencer replaces the stock exhaust manifold and all catalytic converters, along with any intermediate pieces of tubing. (In this application, the presilencer will bolt-up to the factory Y-pipe.)
For optimum performance gains for this application, we recommend that a header be used on an engine configured with a carburetor intake system. For this reason, we suggest another suitable configuration for use on a fuel-injected engine is the Racing Beat Catalytic Converter Replacement Pipe with Presilencer combo. These components offer comparable performance gains, quieter performance and a price advantage as compared with the header/presilencer combination. These components replace only the stock exhaust components located between the stock exhaust manifold and the Y-pipe.
The Header/Collector assembly is constructed with .120" wall, mandrel-bent, mild steel tubing (2" OD primary, 2.5" OD secondary) for excellent durability and noise suppression. Both flanges are laser cut from 7/16" thick steel plate for positive gas sealing. An outlet gasket is included. An engine-to-header gasket is available separately if needed. This header is equipped with an oxygen sensor fitting.
