    Racing Beat's Road Race Header is the first step in building a serious racing exhaust system. The engine-to-pipe flange is laser cut from 7/16" thick flat steel. Like all of the headers we manufacture, the Road Racing Header is constructed with 2" OD mild steel tubing, .125" wall thickness, and mandrel-bent tubing throughout.

    Outlet flange gaskets, bolts, and nuts are included. An engine-to-header gasket is not included, but is available separately. An Air Control and Check Valve Cover Plate (1979-80 or 1981-92) is required when using this header with a stock intake system. The Road Race Header can also be used as the basis for a custom streetable exhaust system in any car from 1971-92 which allows simple swapping between street and race exhaust systems.

    These headers can used as a bolt-on component with the Street Port Center Section Pipe (1979-85 12A & 13B - except GSL-SE) or (1984-85 GSL-SE) that we offer for these model years.

    Racing Beat's Road Racing Header for the 1984-91 RX-7 13B (6-Port) is the first step in building a serious racing exhaust system. Like all of the headers we manufacture, the Road Racing Header is constructed with 2" OD mild steel tubing, .120" inch wall thickness, and mandrel-bent tubing throughout.

An Air Control and Check Valve Cover Plate is required when using this header with a stock intake system. The Road Race Header can also be used as the basis for a custom streetable exhaust system in any car from 1971-92 (equipped with a 6-port engine), which allows simple swapping between street and race exhaust systems.

    This header can used with the Street Port Center-Section Pipe 1979-85 12A & 13B except GSL-SE or 1984-85 GSL-SE.

    The Racing Beat RX-8 Header for the Renesis engine is constructed using 100% stainless steel for superior quality, performance and appearance. Our exclusive cast stainless-steel mounting flange has been designed to allow the smooth transition of the exhaust gas flow from the engine to the primary tubing. Incorporated into the flange design are critical emission control air passages that were included on the OEM flange design. These small passages allow air to be pumped into the exhaust ports to aid in more efficient catalytic converter function. While this header is not considered "emissions legal" for street use, our header does not remove any catalytic converters, and is equipped with an oxygen sensor fitting and retains all emissions control functionality.

    Racing Beat offers a full 304-stainless steel catalytic converter replacement pipe for RX-8 racing applications. The weight of this pipe is 10 lbs.

    This mandrel-bent 3" OD racing pipe is a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock catalytic converter section.

    This pipe utilizes a genuine OEM rear mounting flange for a secure fit to the stock (or an aftermarket) exhaust system. The race pipe is equipped with a sensor fitting for the oxygen sensor. (Note: Placement of the sensor in the pipe will cause the "check engine" light to be illuminated, but performance and engine systems will not be affected.) Removal of the OE catalytic converter/presilencer section will result in a noticeably louder exhaust tone.

    The Racing Beat Streetable RX-7 Header with Heat Exchanger Flange Outlet is intended only for use on the 1979-1980 RX-7. It is available in both 12A and 13B versions to accommodate those who install the 13B engine in the 12A equipped RX-7 chassis.

    While replacing the stock Heat Exchanger does not offer any significant horsepower increase, we recommend replacing the Heat Exchanger with our Mini Power Pulse Presilencer to reduce exhaust noise. Engine-to-pipe and heat exchanger gaskets are not included, but are available separately or as part of a complete exhaust system.

    Road Race Header (w/ 6-port actuator pick-up tube & oxygen sensor position for use on a 1986-88 RX-7 13B) - This model Road Race Header that we offer is intended to bolt-up to the Road Race Presilencer section. Please note: that this header is not compatible with the Street Port Center Section that we offer for the earlier 1984-85 RX-7 GSL-SE - only with the Road Race Presilencer section referenced above. This header is not compatible with the 1988-91 RX-7 convertible chassis equipped with the automatic transmission: the header outlet will make contact with the transmission case.

    Racing Beat's Road Racing Header is the first step in building a serious racing exhaust system. The engine-to-pipe flange is laser cut from 7/16" thick flat steel for superb exhaust gas sealing qualities. Like all of the headers we manufacture, the Road Racing Header is constructed with 2" OD mild steel tubing, .120" wall thickness, and mandrel-bent tubing throughout. This header weighs approximately 15.5 lbs and is approximately 28" in length.

    On the 1986-88 13B 6-Port engines, the auxiliary intake actuators are operated by back pressure from the exhaust system. This header features a back pressure pick-up tube that allows for the correct operation of the 6-port intake actuators. Also included on the header is an oxygen sensor position for cars that require an oxygen sensor for correct operation.

    Outlet flange gaskets, bolts, nuts, AC & CV cover plate, and installation instructions are included. An Engine-to-Header Gasket is not included, but is available separately if needed.

    Racing Beat's Road Race Presilencer for the 1986-91 RX-7 is intended to bolt-up to the dual outlet of the Road Race Header. This presilencer has especially designed to function with the Road Race header to offer a "true" dual primary exhaust system for the 1986-91 RX-7. The outlet end of this presilencer section is intended to bolt-up to the inlet of the Road Race Y-pipe section.

    This Presilencer unit is equipped with dual stainless steel 2" OD tubes, presilencer canister, mounting hangers, and attachment flanges. This unit incorporates the factory hanger positions and comes complete with outlet gasket and (6) mounting bolts/nuts. This unit weighs 24 lbs and is approximately 34" in length.
