04-11 Rx8 Racing Beat Adjustable HD Front Sway Bar End Links (14203)
Heavy Duty version of the 54202 end link set for the Rx8.
Racing Beat Heavy Duty Sway Bar End Link Set (12mm mounting studs) for all 2004-2011 RX-8 front sway bar applications. The addition of a larger aftermarket sway bar can increase the stress loads on the original OEM sway bar end links. To combat these increased loads, Racing Beat has designed a set of adjustable style heavy duty end links for the RX-8 to absorb the increased demands of a larger front sway bar. These end links are intended for street and autocross applications and are highly recommended for use with the Racing Beat front sway bar.
Adjustability range: 120mm (4.625") - 105mm (4.125") approx.
These Racing Beat HD sway bar end links are direct replacements for the stock RX-8 end links and can be installed on either the stock bar, aftermarket, or the Racing Beat front sway bar. The Racing Beat HD sway bar end link set can is fully adjustable and can be used on both standard height and lowered vehicles. The ball-joint style link end is housed in a CNC-machined aluminum housing, offering silent, smooth operation combined with excellent durability and performance. Can be easily attached using only simple hand tools - mounts to both stock and aftermarket sway bars.
Installation
Due to the larger diameter heavy-duty 12mm studs provided on these Racing Beat end links, both the sway bar ends and the mounting holes on the chassis must be enlarged to accept the mounting studs. Provided in the end link kit is the appropriate sized drill bit and a drilling guide to accomplish this task. Also included are detailed instructions complete with drilling suggestions and torque specifications.
Note:
The reason that the Racing Beat RX-8 sway bar is provided with a 10mm end link mounting hole is to allow use of the stock OEM end links. If we supplied the RB Sway Bar with a larger 12mm hole, then it would become mandatory to use the aftermarket links. Although the use of the RB end link Kit requires minor modifications, the rather cheap "insurance" offered by the installation of this kit is well worth the modest installation effort.
