Coolant Pressure Tester

When you build engines regularly it helps to know when you have a leak in your coolant system. Below is an engine we were putting together and it wouldn't pass our coolant pressure test, we tore it apart to inspect the water jacket seals and upon reassembling it the tension bolt stand broke off.

We had found our leak. A flaw in the casting. We knew we had a leak but did not know where until this happened. Imagine if we had sent this engine out without pressure testing it. This would have happened in the customers vehicle.
