  • 79-85 Rx7 Racing Beat Spring Set (14080)

    79-85 Rx7 Racing Beat Spring Set (14080)

    Fits all 79-85 12A & 13B rx7s. 4 Springs, enough for one complete car, 12A or 13B

Racing Beat has designed suspension coil springs that are suitable for a street or track use. This complete set of front and rear suspension springs were designed specifically for the 1979-85 RX-7 by Racing Beat's engineering staff. Ideally suited for use with either the OEM shocks, or your favorite aftermarket units, these springs interchange exactly with the stock springs on the RX-7.

These springs have been designed with a rate increase of approximately 20% (front - 145 lb/in) and 20% (rear - 112 lb/in) with a modest drop of 1-inch (front and rear).

If your car is still running on the original shocks, it is certainly time to consider a replacement! We do not suggest installing aftermarket performance-based springs on a set of tired high mileage shocks, as this may produce a "springy" and bouncy ride. If you prefer to keep the ride quality of your car more "stock like", you may wish to replace your old shocks with a set of Mazda units, or an equivalent set of aftermarket OEM style replacements. However, if you wish to noticeably improve the handling performance of your car, combine a set of new springs with a set of aftermarket Tokico or Koni performance shocks. Although the ride quality will become noticeably firmer, the handling improvements will be a much-welcomed improvement.

These springs are available separately for replacement or special applications: Front (PN 14018) or Rear (PN 14019) - contact Racing Beat for ordering information.

    Racing Applications
The SRX-7 (SPEC-7) Rules (Dated 1/1/05) allow for the use of these springs in this class. In addition, the use of Racing Beat front sway bar Racing Beat Part Number 14100) is also allowed.

Prices shown are for a complete set of four springs.

  • 86-91 Rx7 Front Suspension Lowering Kit (14000)

    86-91 Rx7 Front Suspension Lowering Kit (14000)

    Enough for one car.

This kit is not intended for use on vehicles equipped with the original "Auto Adjust Suspension" components.

The RX-7 lowering kit is a bolt-on design that does not require any cutting of the strut towers and may be used with the Racing Beat Suspension Spring Set to further lower ride height. The mounts used in this kit are based on the standard Mazda RX-7 mounts.

  • 86-91 Rx7 Racing Beat Rear Suspension Camber Adjuster (14008)

86-91 Rx7 Racing Beat Rear Suspension Camber Adjuster (14008)

The Rear Suspension Camber Adjuster for the 1986-1991 RX-7 is an adjustable link that replaces the stock, fixed-length link to allow moderate rear camber changes by tilting the rear suspension sub frame. The immediate range of adjustment is .60 degrees less negative camber to .77 degrees more negative camber. With careful inspection and possibly some minor dimpling of the floor pan, this range can be nearly doubled. After installation, adjustments to camber are quickly made. There is virtually no toe change with this adjustment.

This component utilizes the stock Mazda link and is modified by Racing Beat for this application. Although there are other aftermarket heim-joint versions of this link on the market, the Mazda factory link provides better dampening than the more rigid heim-joint versions and is better suited for use on street or daily-driven cars.
