Rotary Engine Stand Adapter (ARE907)
The original rotary engine stand adapter plate.
Works for all 12A & 13B rotary engines.
Use this to bolt onto your current engine stand for easier use with the rotary engine. This is balanced, so you can turn your engine in the various positions needed to build your engine. You may also weld this adapter to the tube size to fit your stand for even easier use.
Our engine stand adapter is powder coated and comes with all the bolts/washers necessary to bolt to your stand.

The stock mazda rotor bearing tool is about twice as expensive and doesn't work as well!
Main Gear Bearing Tool (ARE901)

For use when installing or removing the bearing in the stationary gears.
Coolant System Test Kit (ARE906)

This coolant tester allows you to find coolant leaks in the engine before you install it. If you build many engines this will undoubtedly save you a lot of time.This kit works on 1974 - Current rotary engines including Rx8 and 20B applications.
Other coolant tester kits don't come with everything you need to plug off all areas to perform the test, this comes with all you will need to test your coolant system.Amsoil Power Foam Engine Cleaner (AMS-APFSC)
When your rotary engine has no compression and broken apex seals are not the culprit then this might help remove carbon to free up your seals and springs in order to allow for increased compression.
- Improves starting and performance.
- Cleans dirty intake systems and spark plugs.
- Works inside and outside the engine.
- Recommended for carburetor and fuel injectors.
- Also removes gum, varnish and carbon deposits from engine exterior surfaces.
Directions:
Disconnect your ignition fuse, and spray the entire can into your intake and crank it a couple times to ensure that all 3 sides of each rotor are coated thoroughly. Let it sit for a couple hours then install your ignition fuse and start it up.
This should free up your apex seals if they are stuck in the compressed position with carbon. It may be necessary to install new spark plugs afterward if they are fouled out.
Thin Wall Spark Plug Socket (ARE905)
If you are not using the recommended NGK spark plugs for your specific year of engine then you will need to use this thin wall socket to install or remove your plugs.
13/16 Spark Plug SocketThis socket may crack while you are using it, do to its thin nature, but it will still do the job.
Effective outside diamter that goes into the housing is 0.977" (24.83mm).
Thick File (ARE908)
Fits in 3mm slot.
This file is not exactly 3mm, it is slightly smaller to clean the 3mm slot.Thin File (ARE909)

Atkins Designed 54mm Socket (ARE903)
This 54mm (2-1/8") socket is designed to remove the flywheel nut from rotary engines, it takes a 3/4" driver.
This is truly a superb work of American art and craftsmanship. After we were finished making these we didn't know whether to put them in our tool box or to place it on our mantle.
You need a 3/4" driver or adapter in order to use this socket. We do offer the adapter as well.

The only real specialty tools you need from Mazda to work on rotary engines are a pilot bearing puller, and a dowel pin puller, both of them are quite expensive.
We have designed this one tool to do both jobs and save money. This tool is of great craftsmanship and is a work of art as much as a tool, and it really gets the job done!
Rotary Engine Flywheel Nut 54mm Box Wrench (0820-49-035) - NLA

Works on all 54mm rotary engine flywheel nuts.
Tired of using a chisel and a hammer to get your flywheel off? Don't have enough leverage?
Try our enormous tool!
Just put both hands on our long tool and give it a good hard push.
You will also need a flywheel ring gear brake.
Eccentric Shaft Die (ARE911)
Used to fix the threads on the flywheel end of the shaft if they get banged up.
79-11 Rx7 & Rx8 Flywheel Ring Gear Brake (ARE923)
This will fit earlier engines as well.
This bolts to the top two transmission bolts holes closest together on the intake side of the rear cast iron.
One side is fits the non-turbo teeth on the flywheel, flip it over to use the other teeth for the turbo flywheel.
This will not fit automatic Rx8 engines, unless maybe you used a huge stack of washers to line up the teeth, or got creative with the spacer; however this is not supported nor guaranteed to work.
Do not fit Rx8 Formula Mazda Flywheels.
Mazda Pilot Bearing Puller Tool End (4912-85-073) - NLA

This only fits the Mazda OEM pilot bearing puller, a good deal if yours is destroyed.
These will not fit the Atkins Designed Pilot Bearing & Dowel Pin Puller Tool.Mini Hand Brush (ARE950)
